Nancy Campbell grew up in Saugerties, New York. Her subject matter is primarily the landscape. She paints places she is most familiar with, whether the streets of the Village of Saugerties and the surrounding Catskills countryside, or certain villages in the mountains southeast of Rome, Italy. where her maternal grandparents were born.

Nancy is currently serving as Vice President of the Board of Directors at the Woodstock School of Art. She was the Executive Director of the school from 2010-15 and taught landscape painting there in the early 2000s.
